Portrait work will always be a favourite of mine because with practice, you can really capture someones personality. Plus, it is a skill that can be applied to many different photo styles.
Every once in awhile I get the opportunity to work with fellow wedding photographer Darren Hatt as a second shooter. My wife and I had fallen in love with his work so we hired him to photograph our wedding. Through our meet ups we started to click and since our styles are somewhat similar I got the invite! I always love the capturing weddings plus there is always lots to learn and pick up on working with a talented artist.
For this shoot we decided to do something a little different and stuck to our Aylmer roots and shot right in town at the trails. The day turned out perfect which made for some awesome shots and as soon as I picked up my camera the kids turned on their smiles like they had been practicing for the big event :)
I had a great time at this wedding. Brad and Jenn were both so easy going and the day just seemed to flow perfectly. Starting out at each of their homes while getting ready then moving on to the ceremony which took place at a bridge in Pinafore Park, St. Thomas which meant a great deal to the family.
